About Me

I've been creating art all my life. I started by working in acrylic on canvas, then did oil and watercolors, and tried some mixed media as well. Over the last nine years I have been actively participating in art shows and fairs throughout the Midwest, including Stone Arch Festival of the Arts in Minneapolis, East Side Millenium Park and Gold Coast Art Fairs in Chicago, Promenade of the Arts in Arlington Heights, IL, North Shore Festival of Art in Skokie, IL, Lincolnshire Art Festival in Lincolnshire, IL, City of Baraboo Art Fair, Mount Horeb Art Fair, and Madison Audubon Art Fair.

In the past two years I decided to try other types of art as well. I took several jewelry classes and have created some metal and leather jewelry. I also took pottery classes, and recently tried felting just for fun. I really enjoyed doing it, and the results are presented on this website. I am planning to post more works as I create them.

Among my works in contemporary style is a series of botanical paintings, in particular paintings of poppies and sunflowers.

My folk art paintings are funny and whimsical, and depict animals with human-like emotions and involved in human-like activities.

I am currently a member of Wisconsin Regional Arts Association (WRAA), Madison Art Guild (MAG), Wisconsin Visual Artists (WVA, Wisconsin Painters and Sculptors).

I have also been actively participating in art shows and fairs throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
